“A RENEWED AMERICA,” THE DOROTHY COTTON JUBILEE SINGERS

This virtual concert (prerecorded without an audience at IC, December 14) is being performed in honor of U.S. Congressman, John Lewis, whose work and life are the inspiration for a “Renewed America.” It will feature Ithaca College professor of voice, baritone Sidney Outlaw along with a preview of songs from the Dorothy Cotton Jubilee Singers’ upcoming Carnegie Hall concert with the Fisk Jubilee Singers in March. The December concert is filled with good cheer from the season and several spirituals and gospel selections featuring the incomparable, Maria Ellis-Jordan.
