Unless otherwise noted, all programs take place at Lifelong and require membership.
Stand up Women! Social Activism in Tompkins County is the latest project by Sue Perlgut of CloseToHome Productions. Perlgut along with Maryland community artist Caryl Henry Alexander led five local older women activists to create art that reflects their activism. This exhibition will display this art, along with posters, flyers and photos that represent their activism, and video clips of interviews, with each woman, reflecting on their art and activism.
Come down to Lifelong during Ithaca Gallery Night to see the work that was created during this project and to meet Perlgut and others.
This program is made possible in part with funds from the Statewide Community Regrants program from the NYS Council on the Arts, with the support of the office of the Governor & NYS Legislature, and from Tompkins County; administered by the Community Arts Partnership of Tompkins County.
