Confused about pronouns? Wondering why they are appearing in email signatures and other places? Want to know why and how to use them? Come learn and understand the importance of using someone’s preferred personal pronouns. (Class minimum 5, maximum 30)

Presenters: Cortney Johnson, Crissi Dalfonzo

Dr. Cortney Johnson’s (she/they) (PhD University of Alabama at Birmingham) dissertation focused on better understanding the experiences of transgender college students in the Southeast. She also has an M.Ed. from the University of Massachusetts in Social Justice Education and has worked in Higher Education for over a decade.

Crissi Dalfonzo (she/her) is a neurodivergent polyamorous queer woman, a lifelong educator and self-defined “professional queer”. Crissi is the Director of the Center for LGBT Education, Outreach, and Services at IC and recently cofounded the Ithaca Pride Alliance, serving as Vice-Chair. Crissi is also a lifelong knitter, an avid foodie, and a lover of all things rainbow, sparkle, and unicorns.
