UNLESS OTHERWISE NOTED, ALL PROGRAMS TAKE PLACE AT LIFELONG AND REQUIRE MEMBERSHIP
An event every week that begins at 10:00 am on Tuesday, repeating until March 19, 2024
Learn how to knit and boil wool to make a fabric that is dense. It can also be cut! Available projects are a pot holder, eyeglass case or a small bag for jewelry or trinkets. Depending on your skill level, you could make all three. Techniques used and taught will be wrap and turn for short row shaping, knitting in the round and felting. This class is intended for advanced beginner/intermediate. Materials list will be provided before the first class.
(Class minimum 3)
Instructor: Kate Hubbs
Kate has been knitting for 60+ years after learning to knit at the age of 5. Her grandmother taught her during a time when home economics were actually called that instead of the “life skills” which her children learned. She was so excited to learn to knit that her first show and tell in kindergarten was her knitting. Over the years she has honed her skills to include sweaters, socks, lace and the often feared cables.
