Haiku Day

Join Tompkins County Poet Laureate Janie E. Bibbie in celebrating “Haiku Day”! Bring your favorite haiku poems. We will write haiku together! It’s as easy as five-seven-five! Come and read, write, listen, and enjoy! (Class maximum 8)

Instructor: Janie E. Bibbie

Janie is the Tompkins County Poet Laureate for 2023-2024. She is author of Alzheimer’s: Up Close and Personal and several books of poetry, including Keep Moving, Thunderstorm, Waiting Room, Flow, and Priceless Present. She is a member of Business Leaders of Colors, Lifelong, and the Greater Ithaca Activities Center Seniors. In her role as Poet Laureate, she hopes to encourage members of the Tompkins County community to join her in reading, writing, and sharing poetry
